Leprosy Eradication Day Observed at Indo Senegal Film Association


 “The purpose of Leprosy Eradication Day is to create awareness about this disease and making people conscious about it” said H.E. Abdoul Aziz MBAYE Minister of Tourism, Republic of Senegal while releasing the poster at Noida Film City.
 “World Leprosy Day is observed internationally on 30th January. This particular day was actually chosen to commemorate the death of Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, who understood the importance of this disease” added Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Indo Senegal Film And Cultural Association and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation.
 “Leprosy is one of the oldest diseases recorded in the world. The disease targets the nervous system, especially the nerves in the cooler parts of the human body which include the feet, hands and face” informed by H.E.Amadou Moustapha DIOUF Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to India, Sri lanka, Bangladesh & Maldives

The meeting was attended by many, film, television, media and fashion professionals including Babacar THIAM Chef de Cabinet, Marguerite Isabelle Da COSTA Counseiller Tecnique en Communication and, M. Abdoul Aziz LOUM Dy Head of the Mission.
