Noida: Marwah Studios in Noida, India, was the venue for the 6th Mahatma Gandhi National Awards ceremony. The event was presided over by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President, President of ICMEI, and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts. The ceremony received blessings from distinguished guests including HE Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge d’ Affaires, High Commission of Lesotho, and HE Yiannis Makrides, Deputy Head of the Mission, High Commission of Cyprus.
The Mahatma Gandhi National Awards for Journalism curated by International Journalism Centre, are presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the media industry in India. This year’s awardees included Padma Shri Alok Mehta, a renowned journalist, commentator, and writer, Rahul Dev, a senior journalist and former editor of Jansatta and AajTak, Kulwinder Singh Kang, an international cricket and hockey commentator and director of sports at All India Radio, and Ajay Shukla, a columnist, commentator, and senior journalist.
