On the momentous occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), along with the entire fraternity of art and culture in India, extends its warmest congratulations to H.E. U Moe Kyaw Aung, the Ambassador of Myanmar to India, and the people of Myanmar.
The celebrations, which took place at Hotel Shangri-La in New Delhi, were graced by the presence of B L Verma, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Minister of State in the Ministry of Co-operation, Government of India, who was the chief guest of the function.
ICMEI is proud to be a part of the Indo Myanmar Film and Cultural Forum, which has been instrumental in developing and promoting relations between the people of India and Myanmar. The Forum, created in association with the Embassy of Myanmar, has enabled Myanmar to participate in major international events hosted by ICMEI, including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, and Global Fashion Week.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI, expressed his happiness at the successful collaboration between India and Myanmar in the realm of arts and culture. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in building bridges of understanding and friendship between nations.
