“The Global AVGC industry amounts to 800 billion US Dollars, and the Indian AVGC sector is brimming with the potential to bag upto 5 percent of the global share that is 40 billion US Dollars, given that it has an annual growth rate of over 25 to 30 percent,” said Abed Elrazeg Jazer Media advisor Embassy of Palestine.

Karnataka was the first Indian state to announce an AVGC policy in 2012. The policy was initiated to promote the state as a lucrative outsourcing destination and attract venture capital funding in the AVGC sector informed Supriya Suri who has been organizing Animation Festival every year.

India is emerging as a primary destination for high-end, skill-based activities in the AVGC sector. The Government of Karnataka has opened a Centre of Excellence that will provide State of the art facilities that will give the AVGC industry in Bengaluru and Karnataka a holistic technological boost. It will house a highly equipped AVGC post production lab providing the industry with resources to generate high quality content. The CoE will also have a finishing school that will train & provide highly skilled technicians to the companies in Karnataka, thus facilitating employment opportunities condensed Prof. Dr Suresh Chandra Nayak renowned academician.
