Through various programs and events, they have explored the similarities and differences in their cultures, strengthening their bond,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and President Global Festival of Journalism 2023.

The Indo-Lesotho cultural relationship has further enhanced mutual respect, understanding, and a shared vision for a better future. As cultural ambassadors of their respective nations, artists, and cultural enthusiasts play a vital role in bridging the gap and nurturing the relationship between the two countries,” expressed Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge d’ Affairs, High Commission of The Kingdom of Lesotho while lighting the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the screening of Lesotho documentary.
This documentary is about Basotho , their culture and meaning behind their cultural activities. The film is from Moshoeshoe, the founder of Basotho Nation. It is directed by Lehlohonolo Mayeza.
Present on the occasion AAFT alumna and Miss Deaf Universe Vidisha Baliyan thanked AAFT for providing so much of facilities to students including giant festivals like Global Festival of Journalism. “I have learned from these kind of events, I owe my success to AAFT,” said Vidisha humbly.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah announced an Award of Distinction to Documentary from Lesotho-“Basotho Culture” and presented the award to Thabang Linus Kholumo along with festival memento.
The program was conducted by Mehak Zaidi, Asst. Prof., AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Festival Director. The event was supported by Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Development and Research Foundation, AAFT University, and Indo Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum.
