New Delhi: In a proud and historic moment for Indian sports, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and World Record Holder in Sports, officially launched the commemorative poster celebrating 50 glorious years of the Women’s Football Federation of India.
The humble ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Women’s Football Federation of India President Mukesh Sharma, along with board members S. R. Dhayia and Aarti Yadav, and several distinguished guests from the sports fraternity.
The golden jubilee celebration marks five decades of dedication, resilience, and remarkable achievements by women footballers across the nation, who have continuously elevated India’s presence in the sport.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said: “Women’s football in India has travelled an inspiring journey over the past 50 years. This celebration is not just about a milestone—it is about honouring the courage, discipline, and determination of thousands of women athletes who have brought pride to the nation. He further emphasized the need for stronger infrastructure, greater visibility, and sustained encouragement for women athletes to ensure that the next 50 years witness even greater international success.
President Mukesh Sharma expressed gratitude to Dr. Marwah for his continued support to sports and for lending his presence to such a significant milestone event. He highlighted that the federation remains committed to nurturing grassroots talent and expanding opportunities for women footballers across India.
Board members S. R. Dhayia and Aarti Yadav also reiterated their commitment to strengthening the structure of women’s football and encouraging young girls to take up the sport professionally.
