| AAFT School of Fine Arts Welcomes Meenakshi Lekhi; Student Exhibition Inaugurated at 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 |
Noida: The AAFT School of Fine Arts extended a warm welcome to Meenakshi Lekhi, former Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Government of India, at Marwah Studios during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026. On the occasion, a new art exhibition created by the talented students of the School of Fine Arts was formally inaugurated by the distinguished guest.
The exhibition showcased a diverse range of artworks including paintings, installations, mixed media creations, conceptual art, and contemporary visual expressions. The works reflected themes of social awareness, cultural heritage, environmental concerns, and modern human emotions, demonstrating the creative depth and artistic maturity of the young artists.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of Noida Film City, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of fine arts in shaping a culturally strong and emotionally aware society. “Art is the purest form of expression. It transcends language, borders, and barriers. The students of AAFT School of Fine Arts have once again proven that creativity, when nurtured with dedication and professional guidance, can produce extraordinary results,” he said.
Dr. Marwah highlighted that platforms like the Global Festival provide students with international exposure and the confidence to present their work before eminent personalities, diplomats, and creative professionals from around the world. He reiterated that AAFT remains committed to promoting art, culture, and innovation through quality education and global engagement.
Meenakshi Lekhi, while inaugurating the exhibition, appreciated the originality and depth of the students’ creations. She remarked that art plays a vital role in preserving culture, promoting dialogue, and reflecting the conscience of society. “Young artists are the storytellers of our times. Their work not only beautifies spaces but also inspires thought and meaningful conversations.
