World Radio Day Celebrated with Global Media Leaders at 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC

Noida, India – 13th February 2026: The spirit of World Radio Day was vibrantly celebrated on 13th February as part of the ongoing 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The occasion brought together distinguished diplomats, media personalities, broadcasters, and industry experts to honour the enduring influence of radio as a medium of information and connection.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of international dignitaries including H.E. Alberto Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay; H.E. Abdullah M Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine; H.E. Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago; and Ruby Yadav, prominent BJP leader. Their presence underscored the global significance of radio in fostering communication and cross-cultural dialogue.

The celebration featured insightful contributions and reflections from eminent media professionals including Harish Tyagi, Pallav Bagla, Alfredo Caldera (Venezuela ), Sunil Dang, Dr. P K Rajput, and Gaurav Lalit, who shared their experiences and perspectives on the evolving role of radio in contemporary media landscapes.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of the Global Festival of Journalism, delivered a compelling address on the journey and impact of radio across communities. He highlighted the pioneering work of Radio Noida 107.4FM, Radio Raipur 88.4FM, and Radio Mumbai, explaining how these stations have served as vital platforms for community engagement, cultural exchange, and news dissemination. Dr. Marwah emphasized that radio remains an accessible, powerful medium for education, social development, and entertainment even in the digital era.
