Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum Plans New Initiatives to Strengthen Bilateral Cultural Ties

Noida: The Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum, a 17-year-old association working in close cooperation with the Embassy of Israel, is planning a series of new activities to further strengthen the cultural, creative and people-to-people relations between India and Israel.

In this connection, Ms. Katrin Fakheraldeen, Minister Counsellor and Head of Public Diplomacy, Embassy of Israel, visited Marwah Studios, Noida, where she met Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum, and discussed possibilities for expanding joint programmes and cultural initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “The Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum has completed 17 years of meaningful association with the Embassy of Israel. Over the years, the forum has created numerous opportunities for cooperation in film, television, art, culture, education and media. We are now planning a new series of activities to further strengthen this longstanding friendship and take India-Israel cultural relations to greater heights.”

Dr. Marwah emphasised that film and culture are powerful instruments of international diplomacy and can create lasting bonds between people and nations. He said that the forum will continue to promote greater interaction among filmmakers, artists, educators, students, media professionals and cultural organisations from both countries.

Ms. Katrin Fakheraldeen, Minister Counsellor and Head of Public Diplomacy, Embassy of Israel, appreciated the longstanding work of the Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum and said, “It is encouraging to see such a strong and sustained partnership between India and Israel through film and culture. Cultural diplomacy provides an excellent platform for bringing people closer and developing deeper mutual understanding. We look forward to exploring new programmes and initiatives with Marwah Studios and the Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum.”

The meeting also explored opportunities for joint celebrations, film screenings, cultural exchanges, educational programmes, workshops, exhibitions and interactions between creative professionals of India and Israel.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further deepen the India-Israel friendship through film, media, education, art and culture, and marked another important step in the 17-year journey of the Indo-Israel Film and Cultural Forum.
