Indian Scholarship For Media Courses


The Governing Council Of Marwah Studios running four institutions under the name and banner of Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Asian School Of Media Studies, Asian Business School and AAFT School Of Graphics And Animation, has decided to launch for the first time a scholarship for the deserving candidates who may not be able to pay for their courses otherwise.

“The decision was taken on the 79th birth anniversary of the founder late shri Suraj Parkash Marwah on 15th june,2009” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios “.This scholarship is decided to help those candidates who deserve to be in Media but may not be in a position to pay for their courses.” added Marwah. The institution (AAFT) is running 37 courses right now and application will be valid for most expensive short term courses of three months which are popular world wide. The institutions are attracting students from 70 countries of the World and have created many International Records in 16 years of Media Training.

Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT) with its Alumni of 7000 students is the third biggest film school in the World and has been rated as the first Ten Best Film Schools Of the World. AAFT is based in film city of North India at the Green City Noida. The institute is surrounded by the most popular media houses of India and International Channels. German Model Will Be Guest Of Honour At Marwah Studios

62nd Cannes Film Festival was the platform for Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios to invite German Super Model Claudia Celisa to India .The Indian Pavilion which was the centre of attraction for many activities brought many film makers and film personalities close to each other.

Claudia Ciesla is a German model, actress and singer of Polish descent. Ciesla started modeling at the age of 15 working for shows involved in fashion and dancing. In May 2006 she was selected by Bild as the Football/Soccer Worldcup Girl 2006, and during the World Cup 2006 she was featured on the front page of a total of seven publications of that newspaper.”I am honoured to be part of Marwah Studios, especially the film and TV education which has always impressed me I would love to cast in one of their films.” said Claudia.

In 2007 and again in 2008 she was appearing on the German Internet soap opera Beach House, playing the part of Daisy Vandenburg. In 2008 Claudia Ciesla was in Austria chosen for the Snow Queen 2008. Ciesla is acting in a Bollywood film Karma along with leads Carlucci Weyant, Alma Saraci, and DJ Perry as part of an international film crew to be filmed in India .
In July 2008 Ciesla played the role of CLAUDIA in the new Italian TV-Sitcom "Outsiders in Palermo" shooted in Palermo/Italy.In Aug. 2008 Claudia played the female lead in the German-Indian Film "Ki Jana Pardes" In Aug/Sept Claudia acted in Calcutta, in the role of a German journalist for the Film Directed by "Arin Paul together with award winning film star Soumitra Chatterjee and sang the title song of this movie. During 2009, she will participate as an actress at the next Uwe Boll movie "Silent Night in Algona"
“I am happy Claudia has accepted our invitation to be in India once again,” said Sandeep Marwah. “She will be the guest of honour for our some very important event this year, added Marwah.

India Will Join Hands With Georgia In Film Business

62nd Cannes Film Festival has proved a wonderful platform for Indian Film Maker Sandeep Marwah to announce a joint ventures with the film makers of Georgia when he was invited by the Minister of Cultural, Monuments Protection and sports of Georgia Nicholas Rurua to Georgia to look for himself the growing demand of film and TV business in their country.

Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios and Director of First private film school of India, Asian Academy Of Film And TV (AAFT) offered student exchange, faculty exchange programs along with the joint ventures to produce short film with the film and TV students of Georgian film School when he was representing India in the meeting of International delegates held by the Georgian Minister Nicholas Rurua at 62nd Cannes Film Festival at Majestic Hotel. Marwah offered scholarship to the students of Georgia to come to India to learn about Indian Film Industry to strengthen the relation between two countries.

“It is very necessary to take initiative to invite important film makers from Georgia to India to develop new relationship between two countries. Films are the best way to exchange culture.” said Sandeep Marwah, who is the World record holder of producing largest number of short films.

“We are very keen to join hands with Indian Film Industry, which is largest in the World and exchange programs and education with Marwah Studios is the right start.” Added Nicholas Rurua.

Marwah Studios Marked Its Presence At 62nd Cannes Film Festival

Marwah Studios, the promoters of Noida Film City of North India and the first private film School of India, Asian Academy Of Film And Television marked its presence at 62nd Cannes Film Festival, the biggest film festival and film networking platform of the world.
“I am proud to be associated with 62nd Cannes Film Festival through India Pavilion of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India handled by the oldest Chamber of India ASSOCHAM.” said Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios.”Our film Coffee House was one the twenty films screened at India Pavilion and Four Short films directed by students of AAFT were also shown. It has given me great initiative to work for better cinema.” added Marwah.
“I am happy that this time the students of Asian Academy Of Film And TV have visited this Great Gala Show to learn more about Cannes Festival.” informed Sandeep Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah has planned a full length feature film as coproduction under the banner of Marwah Studios with American film Director Karl Bardosh which will go on the floor at the end of this year .The news was announced at the inauguration of India Pavilion at 62nd Cannes Film festival.

.The event of the opening of India Pavilion was attended by Abhishek Bachan, Sushma Singh, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, V.B. Pyarelal, Jt. Sec, Min.of I&B. S. M. Khan Director of Film Festival of India, Sandeep Marwah, Subhash Ghai, Manisha Koirala, Deepti Naval, Sujata Dev, and a large number of film personalities around the World.

Film Workshop At AAFT By American Film Maker

The American Center, New Delhi and AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Noida together organized a film workshop at Marwah Studios by renowned American documentary film maker and writer from New York City Sadia Shepard on the making of her documentary. Sadia was accompanied by the senior officer from American Center Diane Brandt who introduced the lady to the large gathering of media students from different discipline of film making.

Sadia Shepard left New York for Bombay on a Fulbright Scholarship, her goal to try to understand the history and future of the tiny Indian Jewish community that her grandmother was born into and left to marry her Muslim grand father. Sadia spent nearly two years recording her experiences in film ,video and writing, which became the basis of her first book,” The Girl From Foreign: A Search For Shipwrecked Ancestors, Forgotten Histoties And A Sense Of Home”.
Sadia spoke about her book and then there was screening of the film “ In Search Of The Bene Israel” followed by the question answer session. The workshop finished with vote of thanks by Dean Kalyan Sarkar and Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios also the chairperson of Entertainment Committee of Indo American Chamber of Commerce presented life membership of International Film And Television Club to Sadia Shepard and Diane Brandt
