Seminar on “What Are the Issues in Publishing and Translating Books”

A powerful seminar on the subject of “What Are the Issues in Publishing and Translating Books” was held during 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024, gathering notable personalities from the fields of literature, publishing, and government. The seminar was led by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President & Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, who provided deep insights into the challenges faced by the publishing and translation sectors.

Ruchi Sharma Kapoor, a renowned poet, shared her perspective on the subject, followed by Anil Varma, a well-known publisher from Star Publication & Hindi Book Centre, who spoke about the practical difficulties in book publishing. Noted writer/director Vivek Sharma also added valuable thoughts, while acclaimed author Vivek Mishra expressed his views on the intricacies of translation.

Raghubir Sharma, Assistant Director of the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, provided a comprehensive summary of the seminar. Prominent columnist and journalist Bharathi S Pradhan, from Mumbai, shared her experience in the field, while Shri Jagannath Sarkar, Member of the Lok Sabha, graced the event and blessed the participants. In recognition of his contribution, Shri Sarkar was honored with life membership of the prestigious International Film & Television Club.

As part of the event, a poster designed by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Forum, featuring Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, was also released, with words of appreciation shared by Sushil Bharti festival Director also Broadcasting Director of Marwah Studios.

In a significant moment, the cover of the upcoming book “Educate A Woman, Empower A Woman – Her Strength is her Empowerment”, written by Mr. Rinkku R Nigam, was officially launched. This book aims to inspire and motivate women, emphasizing the importance of education and empowerment in society.

The seminar concluded with the presentation of mementoes to the dignitaries, leaving the attendees with valuable insights into the future of publishing and translating literature.

Noida, India – October 2024: A thought-provoking seminar on “Challenges Faced by Writers and Their Solutions” was held during the 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024 at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The session provided an engaging platform for writers, filmmakers, and literary figures to discuss the obstacles faced by modern writers and the possible ways to overcome them.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, initiated the seminar by highlighting the importance of addressing the evolving challenges in the literary world. He emphasized that writing, as a creative process, requires not only talent but also the ability to adapt to changing times.

The seminar saw notable contributions from prominent personalities such as:Tanvi Duggal, Cultural Attaché, Embassy of Ireland, who spoke about cultural exchange and the role of writers in bridging societal gaps. Prof. Dr. Sujata Sharma, a well-known author, who shared insights on the growing pressures faced by authors today.Sunil Salgia, scriptwriter and author, explained the importance of resilience and creativity in storytelling.

Pankuj Parashar, a renowned film director, narrated his personal experiences in the world of cinema and writing. Sudesh Verma, journalist and author, discussed how media impacts the way stories are told and received in the modern era. Dr. Partap Sehgal, a renowned playwright, shared his experiences on how writers can thrive despite challenges.

The seminar also received words of blessing from Her Excellency Lucienne Dillah, Ambassador of Chad, who stressed the importance of supporting artistic voices across the globe. Additional blessings were provided by Prof. Dr. Umapati Dixit, Head of the Department, Central Institute of Hindi, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

A special moment in the seminar included the presence of Djimtola Kodj, First Secretary, Embassy of Chad, and the release of a poster honoring the Deendayal Upadhyay Forum. This was followed by the release of two significant books: “Once Upon a Time in Bollywood” by Sunil Salgia, scriptwriter and author. “Hamari Jeewanyatra” by Jaiprakash Agrawal, who also shared a few heartfelt words with the audience.

In addition, a poster was unveiled to mark the launch of the Indo-Chad Film & Cultural Forum, symbolizing the growing cultural ties between the two nations.The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sushil Bharti, Festival Director, who expressed gratitude to all the distinguished guests and participants.

Noida, India – October 2024: The 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024 witnessed a heartwarming Kavi Sammelan at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. Poetry lovers from all over the world gathered to celebrate the art of poetry, which is known to leave a lasting impact on the audience. The event was organized by the Asian Academy of Arts and supported by AAFT University, the Writers Association of India, and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and Festival President, inaugurated the session, highlighting the significance of poetry. “Poetry is the best way to express yourself. The impact of poetry lasts forever. The previous generations believed that poetry was more effective in delivering social messages than prose,” said Dr. Marwah, emphasizing the timeless nature of poetic expression.

The Kavi Sammelan featured some of the most renowned poets in India, each presenting their captivating verses that left the audience mesmerized.
