Colorful Food Festival a Highlight of 9th Global Literary Festival Noida 2023

Noida, October 8, 2023 — The 9th Global Literary Festival held at the festival campus of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism showcased the rich culinary talents of students, bringing to life the diverse and delectable flavors from around the world. The event, inaugurated on its first day by esteemed dignitaries, was a resounding success, delighting attendees with a vibrant array of popular cuisines.

The festival’s first day witnessed a joint inauguration by notable figures: H.E. Cho Hui Chol, the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Korea; Patricia Josephine NTYAM EHYA, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Gabon; and Cdr. K L Ganju, Hon. Consul General of the Union of Comoros. Their presence added prestige to the event and highlighted the importance of cultural exchange through the universal language of food.

The gastronomic display featured beloved dishes from various countries, including Comoros, Gabon, DPR Korea, Mongolia, and Iran. The culinary presentation and taste were met with widespread appreciation, often likened to the standards of renowned restaurants and star hotels.

Dr. (Prof.) Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, expressed his pride in the students’ exceptional efforts, stating, “I am proud of my students at AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism; they have truly enriched and enlivened the literary festival. When we endeavour to promote culture, food inevitably becomes an integral part of the experience. The food offerings were impeccably received by the dignitaries and attendees alike, emphasizing the importance of culinary arts in our diverse world.”

The Colorful Food Festival not only showcased the culinary skills of the students but also added a delightful dimension to the literary festival, making it an immersive celebration of both culture and creativity.

Noida, India – The evening program of the 9th Global Literary Festival cast a magical spell over all attendees, uniting them once again beneath a single roof, in a mesmerizing musical performance by Yousuf Khan Nizami and his enthralling party of Sufi Music.

At the commencement of this captivating musical odyssey, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of ICMEI, shed light on the significance of Sufi Music in spiritual practices. He emphasized how Sufis place music at the core of the Sama, a spiritual ceremony steeped in music and song. The Sama aims to foster an environment where the human soul can embrace divine love. The transcendent and euphoric nature of Sufi music kindles an intense love for God within the listener.

The evening was enriched with the release of two thought-provoking books. “How to be Happy with People” by Mr. Prem Singh Dhingra and “Fine Lines & the Fa Ones” by Sunlitseeker/Avijit Guha were presented to the literary world, offering insights and wisdom to eager readers.

The event was graced by esteemed guests of honor, including prominent speakers such as Swami Chander Dev Ji, Spiritual Researcher Dr. C.K. Bhardhwaj, Zeno Can Der Zalm from Netherland,  Rajan Sehgal, Chairman of TAAI-NR (Travel Agents Association of India) and President of IGTA (India Golf Tourism Association), as well as renowned writer and Sanskrit Scholar Prof. Satya Deo Rai. Zena Chung, Goodwill Ambassador of South Korea, added to the prestigious gathering.

Mehak Zaidi, Assistant Professor at AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication, conducted the proceedings seamlessly, ensuring that everyone present savoured the delightful music and the essence of the event.
