| 10th Global Fashion and Design Week Commences with Grand India Show Celebrating Heritage and Innovation |
Noida, Film City: The 10th edition of the Global Fashion and Design Week 2026 commenced in spectacular style with an inspiring India Show at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The opening presentation set a high benchmark for creativity, culture, and global fashion excellence.
The showcase featured an exclusive collection by designer Rashid Saifi from the AAFT School of Fashion and Design. The collection drew profound inspiration from the grandeur of the Mughal era and the legendary empress Nur Jahan, symbolizing elegance, power, and refined aesthetics.
The designs beautifully translated this influence into flowing anarkalis, layered silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and regal detailing—reimagined with a bold contemporary perspective. Seamlessly blending traditional Mughal craftsmanship with futuristic fashion elements, the collection showcased structured forms, luxurious fabrics, and statement elegance crafted for the modern global woman.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished Ambassadors, High Commissioners, diplomats, renowned designers, and eminent personalities from the fashion and design fraternity, adding international prestige to the occasion.
Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and founder of the festival, expressed his appreciation for the creative excellence displayed, emphasizing the importance of cultural integration through fashion.
