Noida, India: The AAFT School of Fashion and Design, in collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, presented an exquisite fashion sequence inspired by the culture of the Philippines during Asian Unity Day (2nd April), on the opening day of the Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios.
Featured as Day 1 | 2nd Show | Sequence 4, the collection was designed by Stanzin Norzom, who brought alive the spirit of the Philippines through a thoughtful blend of design and storytelling. Inspired by the meeting point of land and sea, the collection beautifully captured movement, fluidity, and transformation—reflecting the essence of coastal life and the deep harmony between nature and culture.
Flowing silhouettes, layered textures, and rhythmic patterns echoed the gentle waves and vibrant natural surroundings of the Philippines. The designs conveyed a sense of grace and dynamism, celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage and its intimate connection with nature.
The Indo Philippines Film and Cultural Forum played a significant role in presenting the program, supporting research and creative development. The academic research conducted at AAFT further strengthened the conceptual depth of the collection, contributing to its authenticity and visual appeal.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, Marwah Studios, and Chancellor of AAFT University, said:
“This presentation is a reflection of our commitment to promoting international cultural exchange through fashion. The Philippines-inspired collection is a beautiful interpretation of nature and culture, and we appreciate the efforts of our young designers and the Indo Philippines Film and Cultural Forum in bringing this vision to life.”
The 10th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2026 continues to provide a global platform for emerging designers to explore diverse cultures and present innovative creations that celebrate unity in diversity.
