14th Edition of International Documentary Film Festival Noida Announced

Noida, India: The 14th Edition of the International Documentary Film Festival Noida (IDFFN) has been officially announced, inviting documentary filmmakers from across the globe to submit their entries by 31st May 2026.

Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah also Vice President of Film Federation of India, shared that the festival has grown into one of the most significant platforms for documentary cinema in India. “We have now become the second biggest documentary film festival in the country. Our continuous efforts have encouraged filmmakers to return to the powerful medium of documentaries,” he said.

Organized under the aegis of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), the festival has witnessed remarkable participation over the years. In the previous edition, entries were received from 14 countries and across India, with a total of 127 documentary films submitted for screening and awards.

IDFFN has also played a vital role in promoting documentary filmmaking through education and skill development. Special workshops on documentary production have been regularly conducted, and dedicated modules on documentary filmmaking have been integrated into courses at Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), particularly within Cinema, Mass Communication, and Journalism programs.

In addition, numerous documentary filmmakers have been featured and interviewed on platforms such as Radio Noida, Radio Raipur, Radio Mumbai, and MSTV at Marwah Studios, further amplifying the reach and impact of documentary storytelling.

The 14th edition will continue to recognize excellence across multiple categories, including films of durations 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and one hour. Attractive awards and cash prizes have been announced to honor outstanding contributions in each category.
