| Palestine’s Grace and Resilience Reflected in an Elegant Showcase by Vinita Kumari at 10th Global Fashion & Design Week |
Noida, India: The timeless beauty and cultural depth of Palestine were gracefully brought to life by designer Vinita Kumari at the prestigious 10th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2026, held at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The globally renowned event was organized in association with the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and the AAFT School of Interior Design, celebrating international creativity, heritage, and unity through fashion.
Inspired by the serene landscapes of Palestine, the collection beautifully captured the essence of its olive groves and coastal skies. A calming palette of soft blues and earthy tones reflected nature’s tranquility, while flowing silhouettes conveyed a sense of effortless movement and grace. Subtle embellishments added a layer of quiet sophistication, creating a refined balance between simplicity and depth. Rooted in rich heritage yet contemporary in its expression, the collection stood as a tribute to peace, resilience, and understated elegance.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, AAFT, emphasized the role of fashion as a powerful medium for cultural storytelling and international harmony. He highlighted how platforms like Global Fashion & Design Week continue to foster creative exchange and strengthen global connections.
The showcase was also part of the grand celebration of Asian Unity Day on 2nd April, organized by the Asian Unity Alliance. The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) welcomed distinguished guests from across India and around the world, including ambassadors, high commissioners, and diplomats, making the event a vibrant confluence of cultures.
H.E. Abdullah M. A. Abushawesh, Ambassador of Palestine, appreciated the collection for its sensitive and elegant representation of Palestinian culture, acknowledging the designer’s effort in portraying the spirit and resilience of the nation through fashion.
The event was proudly supported by the Indo Palestine Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI, further strengthening cultural and artistic ties between India and Palestine. This remarkable presentation once again demonstrated the power of fashion to transcend borders—bringing stories of heritage, identity, and unity to a global stage with grace and meaning.
