| Japanese Elegance Takes Center Stage at 10th Global Fashion and Design Week |
Noida, India: The 10th Global Fashion and Design Week at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, continued to mesmerize audiences with an exceptional showcase during Day 1 | 3rd Show | Sequence 4, featuring a graceful and culturally rich collection by designer Juhi Kumari, inspired by the timeless aesthetics of Japan.
Presented by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with AAFT School of Fashion and Design, the grand fashion event was organized as part of Asian Unity Day, celebrated on 2nd April by the Asian Unity Alliance. The event brought together designers, artists, and cultural representatives from across the globe, emphasizing unity through creativity and fashion.
Juhi Kumari’s collection beautifully captured the essence of Japanese heritage, seamlessly blending traditional influences with modern minimalism. Drawing inspiration from the elegance of kimono forms, the collection featured flowing silhouettes that reflected grace and sophistication. Delicate textures and intricate detailing echoed Japan’s deep connection with nature and artistry.
The designer presented a harmonious palette of soft pastels and deep tones, symbolizing seasonal transitions—a hallmark of Japanese design philosophy. Thoughtful layering and structured elements added depth to the collection while maintaining a refined simplicity, showcasing a perfect balance between tradition and contemporary aesthetics.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Brand Ambassador of BRICS+ Fashion, appreciated the collection and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange through fashion. He stated that such creative presentations strengthen global relations and promote understanding by celebrating the heritage and artistic values of different nations.
The event, supported by Indo-Japan Film and cultural Forum, added further depth to the international spirit of the festival, highlighting the role of fashion as a universal language of unity and expression.
